Church of Eight Wheels | Roller rink based out of an old church

Overview

The Church of Eight Wheels in San Francisco, California, is a 125-year-old Church turned Roller Disco in need of packaging for their new line of rollerskates to be sold in-house, Holy Rollers. Church of Eight Wheels is ready to roll out with new Holy Rollers to give skaters a quailty, honest choice that they can see in the box.

Problem

When picking out skates, it’s hard to know what quality of wheels you’re getting until you’ve tried them in the rink. Cheaper skates might look nice, but often have plastic wheels that can’t withstand anything other than the perfect conditions. There’s no shock resistance in the axle, restricting what the skater can do. On the other hand, expensive skates might over-compensate with every bell and whistle imaginable, resulting in heavier skates that make it hard to perform tricks.

Solution

We are here to create a luxurious, honest, and dreamy line of roller skates to extend Church of Eight Wheel’s brand onto the rink it’s so proud to host. Our Holy Rollers are the best of both worlds offering an affordable skate without compromising quality.

Reflection

The Church of Eight wheels was out of my comfort zone at first. While I’ve always gravitated towards bright colors, gradients were a challenge. I’m really happy with the ethereal look of the final packaging, I wish I could see it in stores someday. If I were given the opportunity, I might brand pop up events sponsored by the original location in San Francisco, California to expand outside of the current scope of the project.
